It's Almost Here!!

I have about a week and a half before I take off for two months!

My program will conclude the 14th, but the missionaries are letting me stay till the 26th of July because of my plane ticket date.

I am excited about having this extra time to be able to explore Germany.

I am finally done with school and am trying to do as much as I can before I leave for summer.

I will try to update this as much as I can once I get there.

I am still about $300-400 short of my total so if any of you have little projects I can do in the next week or so to raise $$ I'd greatly appreciate it!!

Thank you all for your support, seriously!!

The next week I will be packing and getting everything ready for my trip but I would love to see you all before I leave!

Updated Schedule

Hey everyone,
Here's a bit of an updated schedule for my trip

June 8th- Arrive, and enjoy an evening with local Creatives, at our "Dinner and Dialogue" (18.00).  Hopefully you'll arrive before then, but no worries if you don't.
June 9th-Group Devotional,  Intro to summer plans, set up Birkman schedules, get settled and acclimated.
June 10th-Set up for our Grand Opening of the Gallarage, which will be the 12, 13th June!
June 11th-Final prep for the weekend's activities, Birkman appts.
June 12th- Private Opening of Gallarage in evening. Wine and Cheese party.
June 13th-Public Opening of Gallarage 11a.m.-17.00 p.m.
June 14-15 Cross Cultural Training
June 17 or 18th- Art Basel
June 21-26- Train to Paris

The rest of it is tentative until I get there! I'm getting excited as I am about to embark on a new journey.
My parents aren't coming out to visit, as originally planned, but I may get to do some exploring at the end of my journey with my sister! I am expected to return the end of july now, instead of the first of August.

I am so close on getting the rest of my finances, you have all been very faithful to pray and support me!

I will keep you updated!

Let me know if you have time to get together before I leave, I would love to see you before I take off for the summer.
Please also join me at my house from 2-7 on June 6th, the night before I leave, for a going away party! It will be my last chance to see all your wonderful faces for a good chunk of the summer!

Nervous

I am beginning to get nervous about my trip to Germany.

It is only three weeks away and I feel totally unprepared.

As many of you know I deal with depression/anxiety issues and I'm nervous about being alone for
so long.

I have been having a hard time staying positive lately and it has been greatly effecting me.

Please pray that I listen to God's will for me for this summer and let Him protect me and
guide me in the way that He chooses.

PS: I still need some more money to go on my trip, so if you have ANYTHING you need done around the house (cleaning/pictures/run errands/babysitting/etc) please let me know! I only have three more weeks to raise the remainder.

It's Coming So Soon!

I can't believe it.
In a little over a month I will be in Germany!
I was thinking about when Finals were and then I realized
that I don't have much time before my trip.

God has definitely blessed me with friendships the past couple of months and
it is going to be hard to be away from those friends for the summer
but I am trying to trust that He will bring new ones while I'm in Germany.

I ask that you would please stay in contact with me via facebook/blogger/
video chat/skype while I am away so that I know that there are people here
supporting me while I am away and that I haven't been forgotten.

I still have a lot of preparing to do (and packing! i have no idea what to bring!!)
So extra prayer for my preparation time is greatly appreciated as well.

I appreciate you all!! Please keep reading this while I am away as I will be giving updates
on my trip as often as I can!

Where is the money going?

Thank you so much for your prayers and support! I have raised enough to cover the below costs and Now just need about $1000 mire for the plane fee. I really appreciate you all. Thank you so much for all your help!

Cost for Summer Internship 2010
Room and Board (6 weeks)- $700 usd (includes meals)
Trip to Paris- $150 (train ticket, museum pass, room&board)
Art Basel- $40
Birkman Testing and Consultation- $100
Internship (6 weeks)- $300 (includes studio space, cross-cultural training, local transportation, pick up from/to airport).
Misc. Personal Suggested: $100-200 (more if you think)
Total Need: $1390

Plane fee: $900 (still needed)
I paid the plane fee already when I purchased my ticket however I'm about $1000 short from the total so I thought it would be easier to spell it out this way so you can see where the money is going.
